The Clerk was instructed to return the bid. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />above bids were referred to the Engineering Department for review <br />and recommendation. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3490, 1980 - CONFIRMED <br />(ALLEYS NORTH OF PRAIRIE AT GRANT STREET). <br />This was the date for holding a public hearing on Vacation Resolution <br />No. 3490, 1980, for the vacation of the following alleys: <br />East -West 12' alley North of Lots 50, 51 and 52 in <br />Highland Park First Addition North of Prairie Avenue <br />at Grant Street; <br />East -West 12' alley North of Lots 149, 150 and 151 in <br />Whiteman's First Addition North of Prairie Avenue at <br />Grant Street. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found to be sufficient. <br />It was noted that a notice had been sent to all property owners in <br />the vicinity of the proposed vacation and letters had been received <br />from the various city agencies indicating that there was no objection <br />to the proposed vacation. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the Board confirmed the Vacation Resolution <br />and ordered preparation of the Assessment Roll to be filed on July <br />14, 1980. <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL HEARING VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3489, 1980 <br />(HOMELAND SECOND ADDITION) <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the Assessment Roll with <br />respect to Vacation Resolution No. 3489, 1980, for the vacation of <br />an alley running 130 feet East -West to the first North -South alley <br />between Lots 142 and 143, of Homeland Second Addition. The Clerk <br />tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri- County News which were found to be sufficient. The <br />Assessment Roll lists $0.00 net benefits and $0.00 net damages to <br />abutting properties. No remonstrators were present and no written <br />remonstrances were filed with the Board. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the Assessment Roll was <br />approved and said resolution is in all things ratified and confirmed <br />and said proceedings closed. <br />
