' <br />Over the course of the first year, the Innovation Park team met <br />with and discussed the ideas of countless entrepreneurs, - <br />eventually determining that 30 of these companies would <br />represent a good match with the mission of the Park. Many of the others were referred to other sources, <br />such as the Small Business Development Center, that more appropriately suited their needs. By the end <br />of its first year, the Park has leased approximately 60 percent of its building space, providing a variety of <br />resources and expertise to a client mix that includes advanced diagnostics; DNA sampling; drug <br />discovery; health education; laser transmission; mobile apps; orthopedics; social ventures; wind turbine <br />technology; and many more. <br />Two companies that have already reached their stated goals, graduated from the Park and moved on to <br />the next phase are Nexus RV, which will produce motor homes, and The Road to Fondwa LLC, which <br />generated contributions for Haitian relief while promoting the documentary film, "The Road to Fondwa." <br />Other clients have also made good progress on their milestones, with some writing grants, some <br />launching their products and building their customer bases, some finding investors and others building <br />prototypes.
