Water Preservation Tips
Water is the most valuable and the most
wasted resource in the world. The average
American household uses 363 gallons every
day. With some minor changes we can save
massive amounts of our most precious re-
source.
♦ Run your washing machine and dish-
washer only when they are full and you
can save 1000 gallons a month.
♦ Keep a pitcher of water in the refrigerator
instead of running the tap for cold drinks,
so that every drop goes down you not the
drain.
Plav it Safe with
Fireworks
S.B. Fire and Police
Depts encourage resi-
dents to enjoy fireworks
the user's property, the property of some-
one who has consented to the use of fire-
works, or a specially designed site desig-
nated by the State Fire Marshal.
+ Use fireworks in an open area away from
buildings and combustible materials.
+ Safety glasses should be worn by those in
close proximity and lighting the fire-
works.
+ Have a hose, bucket of water, or a fire
wind direction.
