Rouse <br />Member of the Common Council <br />Councilmember Dieter made a motion to accept the substitute version of this bill. <br />Councilmember White seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) <br />ayes. <br />Councilmember Derek Dieter, Chairperson, Community and Economic Development <br />Committee, reported that this committee held a Public Hearing on this substitute bill this <br />afternoon and voted to send it to the full Council with a favorable recommendation. <br />Mr. Derek Spier, ALC.P, Abonmarche Consultants, LLC., 750 Lincoln Way East, South <br />Bend, Indiana, made the presentation for this bill. <br />Mr. Spier advised that Kendall-Weiss intends to construct twenty-four (24), new, single- <br />family homes on approximately 11 acres of land. The homes will consist of (3) three to <br />(4) bedrooms with 2 '/z baths ranging in size from 1,200 to over 2,500 square feet with <br />eight-foot basement walls, a 20 foot by 20 foot attached garage, optional fireplaces, and <br />vinyl siding with stone and/or brick accents. Stove, dishwasher, microwave oven, and <br />garbage disposal are included with the base home package. Each home will be built on <br />lots ranging in size from a minimum 44 foot by 113 foot to over 1.5 acres. All lots will <br />be sodded, sprinkled, landscaped, and serviced by municipal water and sanitary sewers. <br />The sections of the development will include one retention basin, 1,3621inear feet of new <br />streets, and public and private utilities. The average cost of the homes will be <br />approximately $170,000. <br />A Public Hearing was held on the Resolution at this time. <br />There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in <br />opposition to this Resolution, Councihnember Dieter made a motion to adopt this <br />Resolution as substituted. Councilmember Varner seconded the motion which carried <br />and the Resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine (9) ayes. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3691-07 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />COMMONLY KNOWN AS 920 ST. PETER <br />STREET AS RESIDENTIALLY DISTRESSED <br />AREAS FOR PURPOSES OF A FIVE-YEAR <br />RESIDENTIAL REAL PROPERTY TAX <br />ABATEMENT FOR JILL R.
