South Bend Central Development Area <br /> <br />(1) continued… <br /> <br />not as important to the son who now runs the <br />business. <br /> <br />Mr. Downes asked if the appraisals take into <br />account that the property is in the middle of a <br />potential future development. Mr. Relos <br />does not believe they consider the potential <br />future value. <br /> <br />Mr. Alford asked if the new location has any <br />parking at all. Mr. Relos responded that <br />there is some parking immediately west of <br />the building. There is also a small building <br />on the property that they could demolish to <br />increase the parking area. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Downes made a motion to approve <br />Resolution No. 2804 and the Administrative <br />Settlement. Ms. King seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Then Ms. King asked if staff had gotten an <br />appraisal for the E. Jefferson property. Mr. <br />Relos responded that he does not know of <br />one. He e-mailed Mr. Schalliol this morning <br />to ask that, but did not get an answer prior to <br />the Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Ms. King suggested tabling this item until the <br />Commission knows the appraised value of <br />the E. Jefferson property. <br /> <br />Mr. Downes said he would like to see the <br />appraisals of the Monroe St. property also. <br /> <br />Mr. Meteiver noted that Resolution No. 2804 <br />only approves the acquisition offering price <br /> 8 <br /> <br />
