IM REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 29, 1979 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, January 29, 1979 by President Patrick 11. McMahon,,,` with Mr. McMahon, Mr. Brunner and Mr. Mullen present. Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone was also present. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED Mr. McMahon reported that the minutes of the January 22, 1979 meeting had been reviewed and he made a motion that the minutes be approved as submitted. Mr. Brunner seconded the motion and it carried. OPENING OF BIDS - JANITORIAL SERVICES, POLICE DEPART14ENT AND .JAIL This was the date set for receiving bids for Janitorial Services for the Police Department and Jail for 1979. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which, were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Maintenance Systems Corporation Bid was signed by Richard W. P. 0. Box 6125 .–Johnson, non- collusion affidavit South Bend, Indiana was in order and a certified check was submitted. Bid - $19,800.00 Servicemaster Building Services Bid was signed by Matthew Hopman, P. 0. Box 85 non- collusion affidavit was in Elkhart, Indiana order and a certified check was submitted. Bid - $15,591.00 Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the bids were referred to John Stancati, Director of Utilities, and Joseph Gawrysiak, Director, Division of Transportation, for review and recommendation. OPENING OF BIDS - TURNOUT COATS FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT This was the date set for receiving bids for Turnout Coats for the Fire Department. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri - County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Midwest Fire and Safety Equipment Co.
