366 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 22, 1979 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m, on Monday, Janaury 22, 1979 by President Patrick M. <br />McMahon with Mr. McMahon, Mr. Brunner and Mr. Mullen present. <br />Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone was also present. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED <br />Mr. Mullen reported that the minutes of the January 15 meeting <br />had been reviewed and he made a motion that the minutes be <br />approved as submitted. Mr, McMahon seconded the motion and it <br />carried. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION EQUIPMENT <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for Closed Circuit <br />Television Phase III Equipment and Mini Closed Circuit Television <br />Evidentiary System for the Police Department. The Clerk tendered <br />proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri- County News which were found to be sufficient. The following <br />bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Closed Circuit Television Phase III Equipment <br />Powell Tool Supply, Inc. Bid was signed by Larry L. Powell, <br />South Bend, Indiana non - collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 10% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid - One Time Lapse Video Recorder $ 2,528.96 <br />Time Date Generator 584.06 <br />45 one -half inch reels of videotape 1,291.05 <br />4,404.07 <br />Mini- Closed Circuit Television Evidentiary System <br />Powell Tool Supply, Inc. Bid was signed by Larry L. Powell, <br />non- collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 10% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid - Item I - One Panasonic 1,N900 Monitor $ 556.50 <br />Item II- Panasonic Camera 285.00 <br />Item III Two Custom Made Cables 70.00 <br />Item IV Two Security Cameras 254.92 ea. 509.84 <br />1,421.34 <br />The bidder noted that Items I, II and III are no lcnger available. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the bids were referred to the Police Department and the Criminal <br />Justice Planning Bureau for review and recommendation. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3466 CONFIRMED <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on Vacation Resolution <br />No. 3466 for the vacation of a portion of Vine Street from the <br />west right of way line of 20th street running west a distance of <br />147.50 feet; the north -south alley west of 20th Street from the <br />south right of way line of Vine Street south to the north right of <br />way line of the first East -West alley south of Vine Street, a <br />distance of 264 feet; and the first east - west alley south of Vine <br />Street and west of 20th Street, running west from the west right of <br />way line of 20th Street to the west right of way line of the north - <br />south alley west of 20th Street. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County <br />News which were found to be sufficient. The petitioner, Indiana <br />University at South Bend, was represented by Attorney Phillip C. Potts. <br />
