• <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />OCTOBER 11, 1978 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 1978 by President Patrick <br />McMahon, with Mr. McMahon and Mr. Mullen present and Mr. Brunner <br />absent. Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone was also present. <br />BID AWARD RESCINDED - ADVERTISING APPROVED FOR CETA TELEPHONE SYSTEM <br />Elroy Kelzenberg, Director of the Bureau of Employment and <br />Training, submitted to the Board a letter indicated that, because <br />of certain erroneous assumptions made with respect to the <br />recommendation to award the CETA Telephone System bid to Indiana <br />Bell Telephone Company, he would like to request that the Board <br />rescind acceptance of that bid and authorize re- advertising for <br />bids, according to revised specifications. Upon motion made by <br />Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board rescinded <br />the bid award made to Indiana Bell Telephone Company and directed <br />the Clerk to advertise for bids to be received on October 23, 1978. <br />Mr. Kelzenberg noted that no costs have been incurred in connection <br />with the Board's acceptance of the previous bid. <br />There being no further business to come before the special meeting, <br />upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the meeting adjourned at 11:35 a.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />4 s,- - ,& e"z , <br />Patricia DeClercq, Clerk <br />
