250 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />A regular meeting of the Board <br />9:30 a.m, on Monday, September <br />McMahon, with Mr. McMahon, Mr. <br />Deputy City Attorney Terry A. <br />SEPTEMBER 18, 1978 <br />of Public Works was convened at <br />18, 1978 by President Patrick M. <br />Brunner and Mr. Mullen present. <br />Crone was also present. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS APPROVED <br />Mr. Brunner reported that he had reviewed the minutes of the <br />September 11 meeting and he made a motion that the minutes be approved <br />as submitted. Mr. McMahon seconded the motion and it carried. <br />Mr. McMahon noted he had reviewed the minutes of the special meeting <br />held on September 13 to approve the Development Manager Agreement <br />with Gerald D. Hines and he made a motion that those minutes be <br />approved. Mr. Brunner seconded the motion and it carried. <br />OPENING OF BIDS LEASE OF AUTOMOBILES <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for the leasing of two <br />automobiles for the Department of Administration and Finance. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found to be sufficient. <br />The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Jordan Ford Bid was signed by Milton Brook, <br />Mishawaka, Indiana non- collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 10% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid - Two 1979 LTD four -door <br />sedans - $230.43 <br />per month per vehicle <br />Basney Ford <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Bid was signed <br />by James A. Basney, <br />non- collusion <br />affidavit was in order <br />and a 100-6 bid <br />bond was submitted. <br />Bid - Two 1979 LTD four -door <br />sedans - $222.37 <br />per month per vehicle <br />Gatesway Leasing <br />Bid was signed <br />by Victor Kivisels, <br />non- collusion <br />affidavit was in order <br />and a certified check was submitted <br />with the bid. <br />Bid - Two 1978 Chevrolet Caprice 4 -door sedans - $202.00 per month <br />per vehicle <br />Mr. Kivisels was present and advised the Board there was a typographical <br />error in the bid and it should have stated 1979 vehicles. Mr. <br />Brunner asked that the bid of Gatesway Leasing be referred to the <br />Department of Law for review. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the bids were referred to the <br />Department of Administration and Finance and the Department of Law <br />for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - VIADUCT LIGHTING AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for Viaduct Lighting at <br />Fellows, High, Main, Marietta, Miami, Michigan and Sample Streets. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South <br />Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found to be sufficient. <br />The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Arrow Electric Company Bid was signed by Harold Markward, <br />South Bend, Indiana non - collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid - $38,437.42 <br />
