231 <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />AUGUST 25, 1978 <br />A Special Meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />3:00 p.m, on Friday, August 25, 1978 by President Patrick M. McMahon, <br />with Mr. McMahon and Mr. Mullen present. <br />APPROVAL OF LEASE WITH PRAIRIE COMPANY FOR WAREHOUSE FACILITIES <br />Mr. McMahon explained that the purpose of the Special Meeting was <br />to consider a lease between the Prairie Company and the City of <br />South Bend for the Lease of warehouse facilities in a portion of <br />the Studebaker Foundry Building. The lease provides for a rental <br />payment of $20,756.00, payable in twelve equal payments of $2,063.00 <br />and the term of the lease is from August 1, 1978 through December 31, <br />1979. Leased premises to consist of 37,800 square feet. Mr. McMahon <br />noted that approval of the lease with the Prairie Company is subject <br />to approval of the Common Council. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the lease was approved, subject <br />to approval of the Common Council. <br />There being no further business to- come before the Special Meeting, <br />upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the meeting adjourned at 3 :05 p.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />Patricia DeClercq, Clerk <br />
