Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended the approval of the following traffic control devices: <br />A. Revise controlled parking zone to No Parking, East side of <br />600 N. Allen from Lincolnway West approximately fifty feet. <br />This is the site of a former branch bank which has relocated <br />and parking is not required. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the installation was approved. <br />B. Install 30 Minute Parking Zone, 6 A.M. to 6 P.M. at 229 North <br />Olive Street, location of a neighborhood grocery store, to allow <br />for turnover of parkers. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the installation was <br />approved. <br />RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE VARIOUS.STREETS BY BENDIX CORP. , <br />The Department of Engineering advised the Board that they had <br />reviewed the proposed vacation of portions of Illinois, Kenmore, <br />Falcon, Iowa and Kentucky Streets, from Ardmore Trail to Prast <br />Blvd. on the petition of the Bendix Corporation and Blankenbaker <br />Associates for a proposed commercial development. They have no <br />objection to the proposed vacation, subject to existing utility <br />easements. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded,by Mr. <br />Brunner and carried, the recommendation was filed and referred to <br />the Area Plan Commission for public hearing. <br />REPORT - A14ENDED PETITION TO VACATE EAST WEST ALLEY, W. OF CARLISLE <br />The Department of Engineering had reviewed the petition of Mr. & <br />Mrs. Anthony Boros to vacate the east -west alley between Calvert <br />and Delaware Street to the north -south alley and had reported no <br />objection to the vacation. At the Area Plan Commission)," the petition <br />was amended to include the western portion of_ the alley and owners <br />of the abutting lots have joined in the petition to vacate. The <br />Department of Engineering now advises the Board that they have reviewed <br />the amended petition and have no objection to the vacation, subject <br />to existing utility easements. Upon motion made-by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board filed the report and <br />referred the amended petition to the Department of Engineering for <br />preparation of the Vacation Resolution. <br />
