REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 12, 1980 <br />for approval. The modification provided an administrative budget <br />of $1,675 for costs associated with contract administration. It <br />was noted that all other parts of the initial agreement remained <br />unchanged. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. <br />Kernan and carried, the above modifications were approved. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The report indicated five outages between the period of May 4, <br />1980, and May 6, 1980. The report was filed. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Chief Deputy Controller Michael L. <br />Claim Docket Numbers 8333 through <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />carried, the report was filed and <br />Vance submitted for approval <br />No. 8883 and recommended approval. <br />seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />the claims approved. <br />ROUTE FILED - INDIANA BLACK EXPO PARADE <br />A request had previously been submitted to the Board for approval <br />of a parade to be held in conjunction with the Miss Indiana Black <br />Expo Finals in South Bend, June 20 -22, 1980. A representative <br />of the organization was present and submitted to the Board the <br />proposed route for the parade to be held on June 21, 1980, at <br />2:00 p.m., starting at Hansel Center to LaSalle Park. It was <br />stated that this would be the first time the pageant was held <br />in South Bend and it was expected that between 1,500 and 2,000 <br />persons would attend for the three -day period. It was anticipated <br />that the parade would consist of approximately 75 to 100 units. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the request and route was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting and the Traffic Division of the Police Department for <br />review and recommendation. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, <br />the meeting adjourned at 10:05 a.m. <br />P c McMa on <br />Richard L.
