Indiana Center for Life Sciences I Monroe County Redevelopment Commission I Bloomington, Indiana, USA <br />J9. <br />� n <br />Size <br />25,000 SF (new) <br />Training the life sciences' <br />workforce <br />The Indiana Center for the Life Scienc- <br />es is the result of collaboration among <br />regional government, higher education <br />and business entities. The goal is to in- <br />crease the number of technically skilled <br />people in the county's workforce. <br />The facility plan includes classrooms, <br />teaching labs, space for hands -on train- <br />ing and a simulated clean room for the <br />degreed programs that will be offered <br />here. Additionally, the space can be <br />set up to simulate assembly lines and <br />equipment and used by local employ- <br />ers to train new or retrain existing <br />employees. <br />Completion Date A partnership between the Bloomington <br />September 2008 Life Sciences Partnership, the South <br />Central Region 8 Workforce Board, <br />WorkOne, Ivy Tech Bloomington, <br />Indiana University Bloomington's Divi- <br />sion of Continuing Studies, the Monroe <br />County Redevelopment Commission <br />and local businesses made this project <br />possible. BSA LifeStructures worked <br />with these project stakeholders to pro- <br />vide a feasibility study, campus and site <br />planning, facility design and construc- <br />tion administration. <br />�arN <br />
