REGULAR MEETING <br />APPROVAL OF CETA SUBGRANT AGREEMENTS <br />JANUARY 14. 1980 <br />Mr. McMahon indicated that approval was needed for Modification <br />No. 1 to the Subgrant Agreement with Primary Day School. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, <br />approval was granted. <br />Mr. McMahon indicated that approval was needed for a contract <br />between the Bureau of Employment and Training and the South Bend <br />Housing Authority for a period from October 1, 1979, through <br />March 31, 1980, in the amount of $6,569.00. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the contract <br />was approved. <br />Approval was requested on a contract between the Bureau of Employment <br />and Training and Southold Heritage Foundation, Inc., with no <br />dollar figures to apply. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the contract was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Chief Deputy Controller Michael L. Vance submitted to the Board <br />Claim Docket Numbers l through 321 and recommended approval. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the claims were approved and the report filed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period from December 31, <br />1979, to January 5, 1980, was submitted to the Board. The report <br />indicated nine outages. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the report was ordered filed. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR <br />Mr. Marchmont Kovas, residing on Parx:. Avenue, indicated that the <br />Park Avenue Neighborhood Association had been having problems with <br />vandalism of the globes over the street light fixtures since over <br />a year ago. He indicated that when the globes first were stolen, <br />the group contacted I & M to report same and even offered to have <br />some special clamps made to keep the globes in place. He stated <br />that they have not heard anything from I & M and again, more globes <br />were recently reported missing. Mr. McMahon directed the Clerk to <br />send a letter to Mr. Lee Flanagan inquiring as to the status of the <br />matter and request that a response be sent to the Board after his <br />review of the situation. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the <br />meeting adjourned at 10:00 a.m. <br />Patrick M.
