M <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 7. 1980 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m., on Monday, January 7, 1980, by President Patrick M. <br />McMahon, with Mr. McMahon, Mr. Richard L. Hill and Mr. Joseph E. <br />Kernan present. Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone was also <br />present. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED <br />Mr. McMahon reported that he had reviewed the minutes of the <br />regular meeting of December 31, 1979, and he made a motion that <br />the minutes be officially recorded and that the new Board members <br />endorse the same. Mr. Hill seconded the motion and it carried. <br />ELECTION OF PRESIDENT OF BOARD <br />Mr. Kernan made a motion that Mr. McMahon serve as President of <br />the Board, seconded by Mr. Hill. The motion carried. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - GASOLINE AND FUEL OIL <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for gasoline and fuel oil. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found to be sufficient. <br />The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Renco Oil Corp. Bid was signed by Richard E. Newman, <br />South Bend, Indiana non - collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a $30,000 bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid. <br />Regular Gasoline <br />Transport Delivery 480,000 gal. No bid <br />Tank Wagon Delivery 70,000 gal. $.824/gal. <br />Unleaded Gasoline <br />Transport Delivery -- No bid <br />Tank Wagon Delivery As required $.862/gal. <br />Diesel Fuels and Fuel Oils <br />No. 1 Diesel Fuel, No. 1 Heating Oil <br />Transport Delivery 14,000 gal. $.816 /gal. <br />Tank Wagon Delivery 2,500 gal. $.856 /gal. <br />No. 2 Diesel Fuel, No. 2 Furnace Oil <br />Transport Delivery 213,500 gal. $.766/gal. <br />Tank Wagon Delivery 30,000 gal. $.806 /gal. <br />No. 4 Fuel Oil -- No bid <br />Pierceton Equipment Co., Inc. Bid was signed by Paul F.
