MCI <br />REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 19, 1979 <br />CETA SUBGRANTS APPROVED <br />Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Manager of the Bureau of Employment and <br />Training, submitted to the Board the following Subgrant and <br />Worksite Agreements: <br />Voluntary Action Center 10/1/79 to 9/30/80 <br />Indiana University 10/1/79 to 9/30/80 -- $134,657.00 <br />Indiana University 10/1/79 to 9/30/80 - $38,238.00 <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McI'lahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the subgrants were approved. <br />CLAIMS APPROVED <br />Chief Deputy Controller Michael L, Vance submitted to the Board <br />Claim Docket Numbers 22363 through 22520 and recommended <br />approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. <br />Brunner and carried, the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers <br />22363 through 22520 and directed that checks for payment be issued. <br />BONDS APPROVED <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, submitted to the Board <br />a Contractor's Bond for Ronald McDaniels d /b /a McDaniel_'s Asphalt <br />Contractors and an Excavation Bond for United Heating and Plumbing. <br />Mr. Andrysiak reported that the bonds were properly executed and <br />could be approved. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by <br />Mr. Brunner and carried, the bonds were approved. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT APPROVED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period November 7 through <br />November 14 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated <br />fourteen outages. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by <br />Mr. Brunner and carried, the report was ordered filed. <br />REQUEST TO DECORATE TREES APPROVED <br />The St. Joseph Bank & Trust Company requested permission to <br />install decorative lighting on trees in the 200 block E. Jefferson <br />as they have decorated the trees in the bank plaza. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the request <br />was approved. <br />REQUEST FOR BOOTH ON RIVER BEND PLAZA APPROVED <br />Michele Dobski, Director, River Bend Plaza, submitted to the <br />Board a request from Andrews University for students to operate a <br />booth on River Bend Plaza on Friday, November 23, 1979 to <br />collect donations for Cambodian refugees. Upon motion made by <br />Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request was <br />approved, subject to a current permit from the Charitable Solicitations <br />Commission. <br />
