MCI REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 19, 1979 CETA SUBGRANTS APPROVED Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Manager of the Bureau of Employment and Training, submitted to the Board the following Subgrant and Worksite Agreements: Voluntary Action Center 10/1/79 to 9/30/80 Indiana University 10/1/79 to 9/30/80 -- $134,657.00 Indiana University 10/1/79 to 9/30/80 - $38,238.00 Upon motion made by Mr. McI'lahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the subgrants were approved. CLAIMS APPROVED Chief Deputy Controller Michael L, Vance submitted to the Board Claim Docket Numbers 22363 through 22520 and recommended approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 22363 through 22520 and directed that checks for payment be issued. BONDS APPROVED Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, submitted to the Board a Contractor's Bond for Ronald McDaniels d /b /a McDaniel_'s Asphalt Contractors and an Excavation Bond for United Heating and Plumbing. Mr. Andrysiak reported that the bonds were properly executed and could be approved. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the bonds were approved. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT APPROVED The Street Light Outage Report for the period November 7 through November 14 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated fourteen outages. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the report was ordered filed. REQUEST TO DECORATE TREES APPROVED The St. Joseph Bank & Trust Company requested permission to install decorative lighting on trees in the 200 block E. Jefferson as they have decorated the trees in the bank plaza. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the request was approved. REQUEST FOR BOOTH ON RIVER BEND PLAZA APPROVED Michele Dobski, Director, River Bend Plaza, submitted to the Board a request from Andrews University for students to operate a booth on River Bend Plaza on Friday, November 23, 1979 to collect donations for Cambodian refugees. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request was approved, subject to a current permit from the Charitable Solicitations Commission.
