214 <br />REGULAR.MEETING OCTOBER 1, 1979 <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED - INDIANA CABLEVISION CORPORATION <br />A Certificate of Insurance written on behalf of Indiana Cablevision <br />Corporation was submitted to the Board. The certificate was in <br />the proper limits of liability. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Certificate was ordered <br />filed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period September 23 to 26 <br />was submitted to the Board. The report indicated three outages, <br />Upon motion made by Mr, McMahon, seconded by Mr,Mullen and carried, <br />the report was filed, <br />FILING OF PETITION TO REMOVE YELLOW CURB ON ECLIPSE PLACE <br />Councilman Walter Szymkowiak was present and submitted to the <br />Board a petition of residents of the 1000 and 1100 blocks Eclipse <br />Place requesting that the yellow curb installed be removed. <br />Mr. Szymkowiak noted that a resident painted his curb yellow and <br />then the City repainted it as his request and the request of his <br />neighbor in order to remove parking from in front of the two <br />residences. Mr. Szymkowiak said the property owners want to <br />maintain the residential character of the neighborhood. They have <br />no objection to the yellow curb at the location of the branch <br />bank on the corner which improves traffic safety for vehicles <br />coming out of the bank parking lot. However., they feel that <br />parking should be allowed on the street in the rest of the block <br />since this is not a commercial area. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the petition was <br />referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and <br />appropriate action. <br />SUBGRANT APPROVED - GOODWILL INDUSTRIES <br />Elroy Kelzenberg, Director of the Bureau of Manpower and Training, <br />submitted to the Board a Subgrant Agreement between the City of <br />South Bend and Goodwill for Title IIB activities . to provide testing <br />services for CETA participants. The Subgrant is in the amount of <br />$23,544.00 for the period October 1, 1979 through September 30, <br />1980. Upon motion made by Mr, McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the Subgrant was approved. <br />LEASE AGREEMENT FOR ADDITIONAL CETA SPACE APPROVED <br />Elroy Kelzenberg, Director of the Bureau of Manpower and Training, <br />submitted to the Board an amendment to the lease agreement with <br />James D. and Joan J. Nafe for space at 320 W. Jefferson Boulevard, <br />The amendment provides for an additional 680 square feet of space <br />at $300 a month for the period October 1, 1979 through December 31, <br />1979, with the same provision for extension of the lease as contained <br />in the original lease agreement. Upon motion made by Mr, McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the lease amendment was approved. <br />J <br />
