196 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 17, 1979 <br />REQUEST FOR TEMPORARY TRAILERS AT 3113 S. GERTRUDE ST. APPROVED <br />Joseph B. Gold, Manager of the Bremen Iron and Metal Company, <br />3113 S. Gertrude Street, advised the Board by letter that because <br />of expansion in employment of their business, additional facilities <br />are needed. They plan to construct a permanent structure but <br />are requesting permission to locate two trailers on their property <br />to use for lockers, dressing room facilities and yard supervisors <br />in the interim. James Markle, Building Commissioner, has reviewed <br />the request and has no objection to a six -month approval, with the <br />understanding that permanent building plans be submitted to his <br />office for review as soon as possible. He will monitor the temporary <br />use and the permanent building construction. Upon motion made by <br />Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request <br />was approved for location of the temporary trailers until April 1, <br />1980. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE APPROVED <br />Joseph J. Pluta, Assistant Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, recommended that the Board approve installation of a <br />stop sign on Lawrence at Corby, an uncontrolled "T" intersection. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the recommendation was approved. <br />CLAIMS APPROVED, <br />Chief Deputy Controller Michael L. Vance submitted to the Board <br />Claim Docket Numbers 18262 through 18624 and recommended approval. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 18262 through 18`624 and <br />directed that checks for payment be issued. <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED <br />A Certificate of Insurance written on behalf of Fisk Plumbing was <br />submitted to the Board. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Mullen and carried, the certificate was ordered filed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light''Outage Report for the period September 6 to 7 <br />was submitted to the Board. The report indicated six outages. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the report was ordered filed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr, Brunner and carried, <br />the meeting adjourned at 10:05 a.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />Patricia DeClercq, Clerk <br />
