159 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />INSTALL: <br />1800 Greenwood 7,000L MV OH WP $4.80 /mo. <br />AUGUST 6, 1979 <br />Total Decrease $10.57 /mo. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />BLOCK PARTY APPROVED - JAMESTOWN COURT <br />Ralph J. �,Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />reported to the Board that the request of Richard Thomas to <br />close the,4700 block of Jamestown Court for a Block Party on <br />Saturday, August 11 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. had been reviewed <br />with the Police Department and approval is recommended, with the <br />understanding that a 10 -foot emergency lane be kept open at all <br />times. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the Block Party was approved. <br />BLOCK PARTY APPROVED 1000 BLOCK OAK STREET <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />reported to the Board that the request of Linda Johnson to close <br />the 1000 block:Qak Street on Saturday, August 11 (rain date August 12) <br />from 4:00 p.m. to 8 :00 p.m. for a Block Party had been reviewed <br />with the Police Department and approval is recommended. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the <br />Block Party was approved. <br />BLOCK PARTY APPROVED - 1100 -1200 E. Bronson <br />The Board received a request from Thomas J. Brunner, Jr. for the <br />closing of the 1100 -1200 blocks East Bronson fora Block Party <br />on Sunday, August 12, from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. The Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting reviewed the request and recommended approval. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the request was approved, <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended installation of the following traffic control devices: <br />A. Install No Parking Zone on the North and South side of Pleasant <br />Street, 200 feet each side of Ironwood. to facilitiate <br />lane usage of the newly constructed intersection. <br />B. Install No Parking on the East and West side of Ironwood, <br />150 feet North of Pleasant, to facilitate lane usage of <br />the newly constructed intersection. <br />C. Install Stop Signs at the Ayr -Way Exit Drive to 3300 <br />Ardmore Trail. <br />D. Install Stop Sign on Kindig at Fairfax. Kindig is a through <br />street into Crest Manor. <br />E. Install Stop Sign on Kindig at Cambridge, a tee intersection. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr, Brunner and carried, <br />the recommendations were approved. <br />
