REGULAR MEETING <br />11� <br />JULY 9. 1979 <br />OPENING OF BIDS - VEHICLES FOR;,THE BUREAU OF HOUSING <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for the Bureau of Housing. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South <br />Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found to be <br />sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Barney Ford of South Bend, Bid was signed by James Basney, <br />South Bend, Indiana non- collusion affidavit was <br />in order and a 10% bid bond <br />was submitted. <br />Bid - Three 1979 Ford Fairmont 4 cylinder sedans @ $3990 - $11,970.00 <br />One 1979 Ford Fairmont 6 cylinder sedan @ $3990 - <br />Total Bid $15,960.00 <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the bid was referred to the Bureau of Housing and the Controller's <br />Office for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS PERMANENT EXHIBITS FOR DISCOVERY HALL MUSEUM <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for the construction of <br />Permanent Exhibits for Discovery Hall Museum. The Clerk tendered <br />proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri- County News which were found to be sufficient. The following <br />bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Design and Production, Inc, <br />Alexandria, Va. <br />Bid $165,170.00 <br />Lynch Exhibits <br />Pennsauken, New Jersey <br />Bid - $150,000.00 <br />Bid was signed by M. D. Smith, <br />non - collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a certified check <br />was submitted with the bid. <br />Bid was signed by Lewis P. Johnson, <br />non- collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a certified check was <br />submitted with the bid. <br />Target Communications Bid was signed by Thomas E. Knott, Jr., <br />Boston, Massachusetts non- collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a certified check was <br />submitted with the bid. <br />Bid - $231,247.00 <br />Dimension Displays & Design, Inc. Bid was signed by Donald Bendickson, <br />St. Paul, Minnesota non- collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a certified check was <br />submitted with the bid. <br />Bid — $205,147.73 <br />General Exhibits and Displays <br />Chicago, Illinois <br />Bid -$ 187,793.00 <br />Bid was signed by Otto Stegemann, <br />non - collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a certified check was <br />submitted with the bid. <br />
