23 REGULAR MEETING APRIL 9. 1979 A parcel of land being part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 11, Township 37 North, Range 2 East being Lots 32 through 39, inclusive and the vacated alley between Lots 35 and 36, Vail's Addition, also Lots 1 through 8, inclusive, and Lots 15 and 16, and the vacated alley between Lots 4 and 5, and the vacated alley east and adjacent to Lots 15 and 16, Block 9 of Vail's Addition, also Lot 72 and part of Lot 71 Martins Addition and the vacated alley west and adjacent thereof, also the vacated portion of Franklin Street, lying between Monroe Street and South Street, all in South Bend, Indiana and more commonly known as Plaza Park. Offering Price - $245,750.00. An offering sheet with the full legal description of the real estate is on file and available for inspection by any interested bidders in the Office of the Board of Public Works, 1308 County - City Building, South Bend, Indiana. The Board will receive sealed bids at not less than the offering price until the 7th day of May, 1979 at 9:30 a.m, in the Office of the Board. Bids will be opened by the Board at its office on the 7th day of May, 1979. The Board shall award the sale of the property to the highest and best bid equal to not less than the offering price. The terms of the sale are cash at the date of closing, all title and abstract costs are to be paid by the purchaser and the City will execute its' Quit -Claim Deed to the property. ATTEST: s/ Patricia DeClercq, Clerk OPEN AIR STAND APPLICATIONS REFERRED Craig Imler submitted applications to operate Open Air Stands at the corner of South Bend Avenue and Ironwood and the corner of Ireland and U. S. 31, on private property, for the sale of art work. Permission of the private property owners was attached to the applications. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon,,seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the applications were referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department for review and recommendation. BONDS APPROVED Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that bonds submitted by Steve Klatt, d /b /a Mud Masters, Allied Mechanical Contractors and Shamrock Development, Inc, had been properly executed and could be approved.. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner I and carried, the bonds were approved.
