r 292 with reference to an accident which involved Squad Car #80 and a car owned by Bert Kend- ziorski, 2422 Ford Street. Report hereby referred to the office of City Attorney, Irving J.Smith. Bert S. Cichowicz, City Sealer, submitted to the Board the monthly report of the Weights & Measures Department. Accepted and placed on file. Nicholas Horvath ", Electrical Superintendent, recommends the installation of the following street lights: (4000 lumen) Huron Circle between 4440 and 4436; South of Huron Street, at the alley easement and Hurom Circle on the east side; South of Huron Street, at the alley easement and Huron Circle, on the West Side. There being no further business to come before the Board, the: :meeting was adjourned at 10:50 A.M. (CST). January 159 1957 A special meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Wednesday, January 15, 1957 at 2:00 P.M. All members were present. The Board hereby approves the appointment of the following applicants to the Police De- partment of the City of SouthBend, Indiana. Ernest Dobrzykowski Donald Foy Richard Garis Robert Horvath James Sweitzer Robert Urban The abovenamed, having passed all necessary examinations and also having passed physical examinations by both the City Doctor and Pension Doctor, their appointment to the Police Department shall be come effective as of January 16, 1957. Upon recommendation by the Police Dppartment Pension Doctor (Dr. Backs), John F. Ranschaert, having been granted a disability pension in October 15, 1955, is hereby again fully able and capable to perform the duties of Patrolman on the Police Department. Board now approves recommendation of Pension Doctor and reinstatement of said Ranschaert to the City of South Bend Police Department shall be come dffective as of January 16, 1957.
