11272 Electrical Department" Ira Hunsberger, Superintendent of the Electrical Department, recommends the following light installations: 4000 lumen light at Fellows & Farneman..Streets. Also at the following locations, Barbie and Teri Streets between Fellows and Addison Streets, Robin Hood Court between Michigan and Barbie Streets, and on Mc- Pherson Street between Western Avenue and Napier Street. The Board now approves the recommendation of the Electrical Superintendent. FIRE DEPARTMENT Applications for the Fire Department were examined and placed on file for Edward Charles Lower and Michael Emery Keszei. POLICE DEPARTMENT Applications for the Police Department were examined and placed on file for Ronald Lewis Claxton. The monthly report of the Police Department for the month of August, 1956 was accepted and placed on file. There being no further business to come before the Boar , the meeting was ad- journed at 10:25 A.M. Applications for the Police Auxiliary School Patrol were examined and placed on file for Norma Jeane Pilarski, Ella Belle Walker, and Geneva Ruth Butts. John Andrew Haney, applicant for the SouthBend Police Department, having passed all necessary examinations and hav ing passed the physical examination of the Pension Doctor, the Board now approves the application of said Haney and his appointment to the Police Department of the Citylof South Bend become effective the 4th day of September, 1956.
