JULY 21 1956 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, July 21 <br />1956 at 10 ;00 A.M. (DST). All members were present. Hunt that he be demoted to the rank of De- <br />tective Sergeant and the recommendation of the Chief of Police that Detective Sergeant <br />James K. Trevey be promoted to the rank of Captain in charge of Civil Defense Program, <br />effective as of July 11 1956 was accepted and approved by the Board. <br />Special Police Officer bonds were approved for George N. Beamer, Jr. and James <br />A. Nevins, and Ernest Carson. <br />Police applications were examined and placed on file for Donald Jules Biesbrouck, <br />Robert Edwin Jankowski, and Richard Lee VanAtta. <br />The bid of the village council of Edwardsburg, Michigan for the purchase from <br />the Police Department of 2 2 -way police radios was accepted and the bid referred to <br />the Police Department. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, t was ad- <br />journed at 10:25 A.M.
