� 257 <br />JUNE 119 1956 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held Monday, June 11, 1956 <br />at 10:00 A.M. (DST). Mr. Irving J. Smith was absent. Salary claims in the total amount <br />of $91,643.04 were approved. Company <br />4.65 <br />Fire Chief Andrzeiewski appeared before the Board with reference to request <br />permission for himself and Assistant Chief Doran to attend the Firemen's Conven- <br />tion which will be held on the 19th, 20th, and 21st days of June, 1956. Permission <br />granted. <br />Applications for the Fire Department were examined and placed on file for <br />Ben Max Frankiewicz. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT <br />Ira Hunsberger, Superintendent of the Electrical Department, recommends that <br />the light at York Road and Woodside Street be reconnected and also that a 4000 lumen <br />light be installed at the point where Hartzer Street meets Bonds Avenue. The Board <br />now approves Mr. Hunsberger's recommendation. <br />Ira Hunsberger also recommends that a 4000 lumen light be installed midway <br />between Ironwood Drive and Tuxddo Drive on Wilson Street. Board approves Mr. Huns - <br />berger's recommendation. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Police Chief Dutrieux appeared before the Board with reference to request <br />permission to send Officer Richard Badics to DeVRY Technical Institute, 4141 Belmont <br />Avenue, Chicago 419 Illinois. Permission granted. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, t e meeting was <br />adjourned at 10 :55 A.M.
