Applications for the Fire Department were examined and ordered <br />filed for the following: Robert Louis Beesey, Anton Jacob Csenar, <br />Roy Hugh Jacks, Loren Jay Kline, Chris Arthur Kovacevich, Donald <br />Edward Lukaxiewicz, James John Peli, Charles Richard Quimby, Bernard <br />Joseph Rzepnicki, and Joseph Frank Winicki. <br />Applications for the Police Department were examined and ordered <br />filed for the following: Charles Richard Quimby, William Vessele,Stoy- <br />noff, and Bernard John S*italski. <br />There being no further business to come before the B ard, the meet- <br />ing was adjourned at 11 :00 A.M. Urgonskiof the South Bend Police Force requests <br />for demotion from Sergeant to Patrolman. Request granted. <br />The Board of Public Safety approved the recommendation of the Chief <br />of Police that Officer John Weinzetl be promoted to Sergeant as of March 11 <br />1956• <br />A request was submitted to the Board for Sergeant Wiskotoni to be ex- <br />cused from Police Duty from March 4 to the 18, 1956 for active duty in the <br />United States Air Force during that period. Request granted. <br />The Board approved the bond for Special Police Officer in and for the <br />City of South Ben d, Indiana for Fred Eugene Dubbs, 215 Prairie Avenue, <br />Mishawaka and Paul F. Righter, R. R. #4, Box 337, South Bend, Indiana. <br />The monthly report of the South Bend Police Department for the month <br />of January, 1956 was accepted and filed. <br />
