SPECIAL MEETING <br />OCTOBER 29 2010 93 <br />The Board of Public Safety met in a Special Meeting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, October 29, 2010 with <br />President Juanita Dempsey and Board Members Patrick Cottrell, Bruce BonDurant, and Eddie Miller <br />present. Board Member Laura Vasquez was absent. Also present during the meeting were Police <br />Chief Darryl Boykins, Board Attorney Thomas Bodnar, Special Counsel Joseph Simeri, Vincent <br />Campini, Attorney for Anthony Scott, and Corporal Anthony Scott. A court reporter from Midwest <br />Reporting was present to record the meeting. The meeting was held in the Common Council <br />Chambers, 4"' Floor, County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana for the purposes specified in I.C. 5- <br />14-1.5-6.1 (13)(6)(A). <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />HEARING — CHARGES 2010 -06 — CORPORAL ANTHONY SCOTT <br />Attorney Thomas Bodnar stated there was no new business to report. Therefore, President Dempsey <br />closed the Hearing at 8 :31 a.m. The Hearing was recorded by a Court Reporter from Midwest <br />Reporting. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION — CHARGES 2010 -06 --- CORPORAL ANTHONY SCOTT <br />The Board of Public Safety met in the Executive Session on Friday, October 29, 2010, at 8;40 a.m. <br />The meeting was held in the Common Council Chambers, 0' Floor, County -City Building, South <br />Bend, Indiana for the purposes specified in I.C. 5- 14- 1.5 -6.1 (13)(6)(A). President Juanita Dempsey <br />and Board Members Patrick Cottrell, Bruce J. BonDurant, and Eddie Miller were present. Board <br />Member Laura Vasquez was absent. Attorney Thomas Bodnar, Police Chief Darryl Boykins, <br />Attorney for Anthony Scott, Vincent Campini, Corporal Anthony Scott, and Special Counsel Joseph <br />Simeri were also present. Attorney Thomas Bodnar requested that the Clerk of the Board of Safety <br />be excused from the Executive Session and the Court Reporter's transcript be incorporated into the <br />Minutes of the session. Board members did not discuss any subject matter other than the subject <br />matter as specified in the Public Notice. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The Hearing was continued until the Executive Session of the next regularly scheduled Board of <br />Safety Meeting of November 17, 2010.
