M. <br />Elections were held, and Irving J. Smith was nominated as <br />Chairman. Nominations were closed. <br />The Board Recognizes J. Charles Dutrieux as Chief of Police. <br />The Board Recognizes Alex Andrejewski as Chief of Fire <br />Department. <br />The Board Recognizes Anthony Sabo as Clerk of Board of Public <br />Works and Safety. <br />The Chief of Police submitted a list of prospective promotions <br />and demotions. Made part Of record. <br />All promotions and demotions accepted as of today, aanuary, 1, <br />1956. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br />The Board of Public Works and Safety, holding a special meeting <br />January 1, 1956, have acted upon the following promotions and demotions <br />within the organization of the Police Department, as recommended by <br />Mayor Edward F. Voorde and the Chief of Police, and such promotions <br />and. demotions are to become effective immediately. <br />PATROLMAN R. BIRKHART promoted to rank of Assistant Chief. <br />DETECTIVE SGT. J. PORTE, promoted to rank of Captain and to <br />assume,command of the Detective Division. <br />PATROLMAN C. ZIELINSKI, promoted torank of Captain assigned <br />to Patrol Division assuming the position of Station Commander of the <br />First ,Detail. <br />PATROLMAN L. HADRICK, promoted to rank of Captain, assigned to <br />Patrol Division assuming the position of Station Commander of the <br />Third Detail. <br />SERGEANT S. CIESIELSKI, promoted to rank of Lieutenant, assigned <br />to Patrol Divieion assuming the position of Station Commander of the <br />Second Detail. <br />PATROLMAN J. KLAYBOR, promoted to rank of Lieutenant, assigned <br />to Traffic Division. <br />SERGEANT E. HANYZEWSKI, promoted'to rank of Lieutenant,' assuming <br />command of Juvenile Division. <br />PATROLMAN C. BOROWSKI, promoted to rank of Lieutenant, assuming <br />command of Special Investigations Unit. <br />DETECTIVE SGT. E. NOWAK, promoted to rank of Lieutenant, assigned <br />to Detective Division, <br />PATROLMAN J.
