December 5, 1955 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held Monday, <br />ecember 5, 1955, at 10 :00 A. M. All members were present. Minutes of the <br />revious meetingg were read and approved. Salary claims -, in the total <br />mount of $83,682.01, were approved. Claims of the following suppliers, <br />n the total amount of $5775.62, were approved and ordered paid: <br />DEPARTMENT: <br />Fire Chief, R. J. Duck, being present brought to the attention of the <br />ard, the urgent need for the reroofing of the hose tower of Fire Station <br />9, and informed the Board that La -Rite Roofing & Insulating Co., Inc., <br />it proceed with this work, the initial cost of which is to be $255.00. <br />nds being available, the Clerk was directed to issue formal purchase <br />der, encumbering the amount of $255.00 for payment to this firm and <br />rving as notice to proceed with the roofing of this hose tower. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: <br />The Board next considered the charges on file against Patrolman Erwin <br />F Kowalski, now covered by a bill of particulars, and set the date of <br />D cember 12, 1955, at 11 :00 A. M. for disposition of this case. The Clerk <br />w s directedito so notify Attorney Arthur A. May. <br />The Police Department application of Robert L. Jones was next <br />e amined and ordered placed on file. <br />The Fire Department application of Raymond M. Richard was examined <br />d ordered filed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the <br />eeing was adjourned at 11 :20 A.
