October 17, 1955 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held Monday, October 17, 1955, at 10:00 A. M. All members were present. Minutes- of,the previous meeting were read and approved. Ziegler, PM. 37.00 The Board first examined and approved the request of Chas. J. Glueckert, Precinct Committeeman, 4th District, 6th Precinct, for the use of old Fire Station No. 3, 219 N. Hill Street for the 6th Precinct polling place on Elect ±6n Day, Tuesday, November 8, 1955• 1 FIRE DEPARTMENT: Fire Chief, R. J. Duck, being present, placed before the Board, the proposal of Chas. Aulm, general contractor, for the construction of approximately fifty feet of sidewalk from the driveway of Central Fire Station to the line of separation between Central Fire Station and the Fire Alarm and Signal Station. This proposal of $221.00 was acceptable to the Board and the Clerk was directed to confirm with formal purchase order. ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: The recommendation of Supt. Ira Hunsberger for the installation of a 4000 lumen light at each of the following locations, was approved by the Board: Alley intersection on Orange Street, between Bridsell & Adams Intersection of Keller Street and Sheridan Avenue Intersection of Marquette Street,and Sheridan Avenue Intersection of Sample Street and Evergreen Lane Intersect:in of Meadow Lane and Evergreen Lane The recommendation of Supt. Ia Hunsberger for the installation of a 2500 lumen light on the southwest corner of the alley intersection on i Maple Street, between Thomas and Jefferson Street was approved by the Board. A petition, dated October 14, 1955, and bearing the signatures of seven property owners, calling for the installation of a street light at 1225 Haney Avenue was examined and referred to the electrical superintendent for investigation and recommendation. A petition, dated October 14, 1955, requesting street light at the intersection of Meade and Keller Streets was referred to Mr. Hunsberger for investigation and report. A petition, dated October 17th, 1955, requesting street light at the intersection of Seebirt and LaSalle Avenue was referred to Mr. Hunsberger for investigation and report. 1
