OLICE DEPARTMENT: The Board first awarded contract to Scherman- Schaus- Fre -eman Company supply eight new Four -door sedans to the Police Department, in compliance th their proposal of September 26, 1955. -The- G1erk was directed to issue rchase order accordingly. Chief of Police, R. J. Gillen, being present, requested additional ime to prepare bill of particulars pertaining to violation of, Rule 12 y Officer Erwin F. Kowalski. The Board- granted the Chief of-Police n additional-two-weeks., C TRIO AL DEPARTMENT: Supt. Ira Hunsberger submitted his recommendations for the installation a 4000 lumen light at the following locations; all of which were approved the Board: Corby Boulevard,- midway between Nos. 2507 °and 2511 Northwest corner of Corby Blvd. and Harbor-Avenue Corby Boulevard between Nos. 2525 and 2527° Intersection of Corby Blvd. and Delano Avenue West side of Sylvan Lane at a point 400 ft south of Sample 'St. Northeast corner Dubail and Olive Streets 1811 S. Kendall Avenue Northeast corner Marine Street and Indiana-Avenue Northeast corner Sussex Drive and Canterbury Drive Intersection of Elwood Avenue and Canterbury Drive Dead end Eunice Drive at Colfax Avenue Dead end Club Drive at Eunice Drive Pole J234 -621 at the intersection of Van Buren and Wilbur Street. Supt. Hunsbergerts recommendation for the installation of a 2500 lumen Lght at the rear of -1525 Van Buren Street was approved by the Board. A petition, dated October 5, 1955, calling for the installation of a ,street light on Orange Street at the alley intersection, midway between 'B rdsell and Adams Street, was referred to Supt. Report of the Inspector of Weights and Measures for the month of tember, was examined and ordered filed.
