Tob, August 1, 1955 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held Monday, August 1, 1955, at 10 :00 A. M. All members were present. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Claims of the following suppliers, in the total amount x$887.12, were approved and ordered paid: Car Parts, Inc. k3.24 City Water Works $50.01 Koontz - Wagner Electric Co. 21.10 Memorial Hospital 20.75 Singer General Tire Co. 2.25 The Sputh Bend Supply Co. 6.51 Wayne Hardware Co. 193.40 Wayne Hardware Co. 191.08 Wayne Hardware Co. 191.62 Wayne Hardware Co. 152.86 Wire & Disc Wheel Sales 41.30 POLICE DEPARTMENT: "TI K X First appeared before the Board, Chief of Police, R. J. Gillen, asking permission to send the eight members of the Police Pistol Team to the Indiana State Pistol Championship Matches at Putnamville Saturday and Sunday, August 6th and 7th. The itemized estimated expense, submitted by Lieutenant C. W. Kile, was examined and permission was granted. 'The Police Auxiliary School Patrol application of Kathleen L. Keller was examined and ordered placed on file. FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Fire Department application of Daniel E. Jaronik was examined and ordered filed. ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: Superintendent Ira Hunsbergerts recommendation for the installation of a 4000 lumen light at each of the following locations was considered and authorized by the Board: Intersection of Colfax Avenue and Ellsworth Place Intersection of Elwood Avenue and Reyer Street Intersection of Reyer Street and Keller Street. A 4000 lumen light was also approved for the 1500 block Reyer Street at 1527, in accord with recommendation of Superintendent Hunsberger.
