Tob, <br />August 1, 1955 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held Monday, <br />August 1, 1955, at 10 :00 A. M. All members were present. Minutes of <br />previous meeting were read and approved. Claims of the following <br />suppliers, in the total amount x$887.12, were approved and ordered paid: <br />Car Parts, Inc. k3.24 City Water Works $50.01 <br />Koontz - Wagner Electric Co. 21.10 Memorial Hospital 20.75 <br />Singer General Tire Co. 2.25 The Sputh Bend Supply Co. 6.51 <br />Wayne Hardware Co. 193.40 Wayne Hardware Co. 191.08 <br />Wayne Hardware Co. 191.62 Wayne Hardware Co. 152.86 <br />Wire & Disc Wheel Sales 41.30 <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: <br />"TI K <br />X <br />First appeared before the Board, Chief of Police, R. J. Gillen, <br />asking permission to send the eight members of the Police Pistol Team <br />to the Indiana State Pistol Championship Matches at Putnamville Saturday <br />and Sunday, August 6th and 7th. The itemized estimated expense, submitted <br />by Lieutenant C. W. Kile, was examined and permission was granted. <br />'The Police Auxiliary School Patrol application of Kathleen L. Keller <br />was examined and ordered placed on file. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT: <br />The Fire Department application of Daniel E. Jaronik was examined <br />and ordered filed. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: <br />Superintendent Ira Hunsbergerts recommendation for the installation <br />of a 4000 lumen light at each of the following locations was considered <br />and authorized by the Board: <br />Intersection of Colfax Avenue and Ellsworth Place <br />Intersection of Elwood Avenue and Reyer Street <br />Intersection of Reyer Street and Keller Street. <br />A 4000 lumen light was also approved for the 1500 block Reyer <br />Street at 1527, in accord with recommendation of Superintendent <br />Hunsberger. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 11:25 A.
