F <br />LECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: <br />First appeared before the Board Supt. Ira Hunsberger and presented <br />his recommendation for the installation of two 4000 lumen lights, equally <br />spaced between Riverside Drive and Woodward Avenue on Angella Boulevard. <br />Supt. Hunsbergerts report on the lighting situation on Gertrude <br />Street, between Prairie Avenue and Ewing Avenue, indicating sufficient. <br />lighting presently exists in this area, and calling attention to the <br />fact that the petitioners are located a distance of four blocks from <br />the site indicated in their petition, was given due consideration. The <br />Board was in agreement with Supt. Hunsberger and the street light was <br />denied. <br />A petition, dated June 23, 1955, for the installation of a street <br />light on Westmoor at the alley between Meade Street and Eclipse Place, <br />was examined and referred to Supt. Hunsberger for investigation and <br />report. <br />OLICE DEPARTMENT: <br />Then appeared before the Board Chief of Police, R. J. Gillen, <br />recommending to the Board the promotion of Patrolman Richard C. Brown <br />to rank of Detective Sergeant, to become effective Friday, July 1, 1955, <br />This vacancy exists, due to the retirement of Detective Sergeant Louis <br />C. Rourke. The Board approved and authorizes this promotion. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the <br />eting was adjourned at 11 :25 A.
