01 <br />May 16, 1955 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held Monday, <br />May 16, 1955, at 10 :00 A. M. All members were present. Minutes of the <br />previous meeting were read'and approved. Gillen for permit to post a <br />solicitation of funds poster <br />on Street <br />Department trash containers <br />was <br />denied by the Board from the <br />standpoint that granting such permission <br />would establish an undesirable <br />precedent. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT: <br />.The department's urgent need for automotive parts for Seagravets <br />equipment, in excess of $200.00, was brought to the attention of the <br />Board, and the Clerk was given authorization to purchase the stock <br />required. <br />The Fire Department application of Michael L. Peters was examined <br />and ordered placed on file. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: <br />Supt. Ira Hunsbergerts recommendation for the installation of <br />a 4000 lumen light in front of St. Casimir's Convent 1316 W. Dunham <br />Street was approved by the Board. The Board also approved upon Supt. <br />Hunsbergerts recommendation, the installation of a 4000 lumen light <br />at the northwest corner of Dubail and Webster Street. <br />A petition, dated May 13, 1955, for the installation of a street <br />light at the alley intersection in the 1200 block of Bissell Street, <br />was referred to Supt. Hunsberger for investigation and report. <br />Applications for the Police Department were examined and ordered <br />filed for the following applicants: <br />Robert J. Bella <br />Billie G.
