Triple <br />.Combination Pumping Engine equipped as <br />per proposal .......................... $1.8 ,,450.00 <br />MIDWEST FIRE & SAFETY EQUIPMENT CO. A non - collusion affidavit <br />INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA. and certified check for <br />$2000.00 accompanied the bid. <br />1 - Maxim Model 14110 - 1000 GPM Triple <br />Combination Pumping Engine, equipped <br />as per proposal.... $17,145.89 <br />AMERICAN LAFRANCE FOAMITE CORPORATION <br />445 N. LAKE SHORE DRIVE <br />CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. <br />Undated notarizatinn:' of non- collusion affidavit <br />resulted in the immediate rejection of this bid. <br />The bids of Seagrave Corporation and the Midwest Fire & Safety <br />Equipment Company were taken under advisement, successful bidder to <br />be announced at the next regular meeting of the Board. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT; <br />The Board then proceeded with the opening of bid received to <br />provide six four -door sedans for the Police Department. <br />SCHERMAN= SCHAUS- FREEMAN CO. A non - collusion affidavit <br />LAFAYETTE & SOUTH STREETS and certified check for <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA $738.00 accompanied the bid. <br />6 - 1955 Studebaker Champion Custom <br />4 -Door Sedans equipped as per <br />proposal .... ......................$7374.00. <br />The above bid being the only bid received to provide the required <br />four -door sedans, and being found to be in order and 'satisfactory to the <br />department, was accepted by the Board, and the Clerk was directed to <br />proceed with the purchase. <br />A petition, dated March 25, 1955, calling for a street light at <br />the intersection of Ford Street and Scenic Drive, was examined and <br />referred to Supt. Hunsberger for investigation and report. <br />Supt. Hunsbergerts recommendation for the installation of a 4000 <br />lumen light on Dubail Avenue, between Kemble and Catalpa Streets, for <br />the purpose of lighting the Oliver School playground, was approved by <br />the Board. <br />The Fire Department app3,ications of Richard L. Dierickx and Clarence <br />F. Hajducki, were examined and ordered filed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 11;45 A.
