Chief Vargyas ' bearing <br />also the signature of Harold <br />Zyski, <br />dated February 23, 19-55, concerning <br />the suspension of Fireman Robert <br />Shultz. <br />Fire Chief, Richard J. <br />Duck., <br />being present, the matter was <br />discussed <br />briefly and Fireman Shultz <br />was <br />called before the Board, accompanied by Anthony Kovatch, representing <br />the Fireman's Association. <br />The report was read to Fireman <br />Shultz, who offered no denial <br />of <br />the facts set forth therein. <br />The Board sustained the suspension <br />of <br />Fireman Shultz until March 21st, <br />on <br />which date he was directed to <br />again appear before the Board <br />and show cause, if any, why he should <br />not be discharged from the Fire Department. The Board directed <br />the <br />Clerk to confirm date for the <br />March <br />21st appearance of Fireman Shultz, <br />to him by letter. <br />The Fire Department application <br />of Fred A. Wroblewski was examined <br />and ordered filed. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: <br />The Board authorized the attendance of the Police Pistol Team at the <br />National Pistol Tournament at Tampa" Florida, commencing March 4, 1955, <br />members of the team to return to regular duty March 16, 1955. <br />The Police Departmentts need d for an electroglass dryer was next <br />considered and the Clerk was directed to proceed with the purchase of <br />this equipment. <br />Police Department applications of James L. Anastos and Frank R. <br />Campagna were examined and ordered placed on file. <br />It now being the advertised time for the opening of bids, announce- <br />ment was so made and bids were as follows: <br />South Bend Electric Co. A Non-Collusion Affidavit <br />437 E.
