1450 <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT: <br />' First appeared before the Board, Fire chief, R. J. Duck, and informed <br />the Board and all persons present of the gift of the Rum Village Business <br />Ments Association, whereby this organization has; agreed to supply $500.00 <br />worth of furnishings for the City's new Fire Station No. 15, and in <br />addition to provide the fireman at this station with a television set, and <br />to provide suitable landscaping. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: <br />The Police Departmentapplicatinn of Benjamin Tucker. Gray was <br />examined and ordered placed on file. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: <br />A petition for the improvement of Country Club Lane by the install- <br />ation of street lights,was examined and referred to Supt. Hunsberger <br />for investigation and report. <br />It now being the time set,for the opening of bids to provide certain <br />motor equipment for the Police Department, announcement was so made, and <br />bids received were found to be as follows: <br />HARLEY-DAVIDSON SALES A non-collusion affidavit <br />SOUTH BEND., INDIANA. and certified check for <br />$188.00 accompanied the bid. <br />1 - Police Serki-Car Motorcy6le <br />equipped as per proposal.,,-,,,,,,,$1876.25 <br />SCHERMAN-SCHAUS-FREEMAN CO. A non-collusion affidavit <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. certified check for <br />$223.00 accompanied the bid. <br />1 1954 Studebaker Commander Regal <br />Ambulet, equipped as per-pr,oposal..$2225-00 <br />Both bids were accepted, and the Clerk was directed to proceed <br />with the issuance of the required purchase orders. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 11:20 A.
