M. <br />Friday, December 31, 1954- <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />adjourned at 3 :15 P. Y. <br />airman <br />At to s t <br />Clerk <br />Special Meeting <br />December 31, 1954 <br />Pursuant to the decision of the Board in special meeting of December 30, 1954, <br />the Board again met in special meeting at 10 :00 A.M. Friday, December 31, 1954 <br />for the purpose of awarding contracts for the construction of Fire Station <br />No. 15. All members were present. <br />After examination of the tabulation; submitted by Architect Forrest R. Nest, <br />and some discussion pertinent thereto, the Board awarded contracts as follows: <br />The general construction of Fire Station No. 15 was awarded to Black and <br />Anderson in the total sum of $35,137.82, including the alternates. Plumbing <br />and heating was awarded to Edward J. "White, Inc., in the sum of 6348.00.. <br />Electrical work was awarded to Koontz Engineering & Electric Co., Inc., in the <br />sum of $2998.00. <br />In addition to the sums for which the above contracts are awarded, the <br />Board further directs the City Controller to estblish from funds appropriated <br />for the construction of Fire Station No. 15, a contingency fund in the stun of <br />$1,000.00. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: <br />Chief of Police, Richard J. Gillen being present, recommended to the <br />Board, the following demotion due to this officer being restricted to <br />limited duty because of present physical condition; Sergeant Richard E. Bauer, <br />Sr. to be reduced to patrol-man. <br />
