No bids were received. Clerk of the Board,
Linda Martin, stated this property was re- advertised after it was found that the Notice to Bidders
did not get published the first time. She stated all adjoining property owners had received letters
notifying them of the sale of the property; however the legal requirement of advertising for bids
was missed. Ms. Aida Ortiz submitted a bid of $600.00 when the original letters were sent. This
was the only bid received. Attorney Cheryl Greene noted the law gives preference to adjoining
property owners in the sale of City property. If no other bids were received after advertising, the
law allows for the City to sale the property on the open market. She stated Ms. Ortiz would be
the obvious preference and she should be notified that if she is still interested, her bid would be
accepted.
AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT — OLIVER INDUSTRIAL
PARK IMPROVEMENTS — PROJECT NO. 110 -065 — BASE BIDS I II AND ALTERNATE
A (AEDA TIFF
Mr. Rob Nichols, Engineering, advised the Board that on October 11, 2010, bids were received
and opened for the above referenced project.
