July 6, 1954 <br />A regular meeting of the <br />Board of <br />Public Safety was held, Tuesday, <br />July 6, 1954, at 10 :00 A. M. <br />All members were present. Minutes of <br />the <br />previous meeting were read and approved. The Board cautioned the Fireman to <br />keep his creditors sttisf ied and directed that he make a further report <br />to the Board in thirty days in this connection. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: <br />The recommendation of Superintendent Ira Hunsberger concerning the <br />proposed underground conduit construction work on South Michigan. Street, <br />as indicated in drawing, submitted with Superintendent Hunsbergerts <br />letter of July 2, 1954, was next considered by the Board. The Board <br />approved and recommended that a permit be issued Indiana Bell Telephone <br />Company to proceed with their proposed construction. <br />A petition, dated June 28, 1954, to improve street lighting on <br />on Chimes Boulevard, from Rocknne Drive to MacArthur Avenue, was examined <br />and referred to Superintendent Ira Hunsberger for investigation and <br />report. <br />A petition, dated, July 3, 1954, for a. street light at the intersection <br />of Columbia and Paris Streets, was examined and referred to Superintendent <br />Hunsberger for inspection and report. <br />There being no further busines to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 11:50 A.
