EM11- <br />sewers and stating that consultation with Messrs. Turnock and Tomlinson <br />resulted in the finding of no objection to the intended use of this equip- <br />ment. It was the opinion of the Board, however, that used machines of <br />this type are available, at a considerable reduction in cost, which <br />would prove entirely satisfactory and perform with the efficiency of <br />new equipment. The Chief was directed to investigate this possibility <br />and report upon his findings. <br />The Chief i s request for a transfer of funds to make possible the <br />purchase of a new pick -up truck needed at this time, was approved by <br />the Board. This request in the form of an ordinance will be placed <br />with the Common Council at their regular meeting this date. <br />The Fire Department applications of Richard E. Benninghoff and Le <br />Roy Wayne Collins were examined and ordered filed. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: <br />Superintendent Ira Hunsberger's recommendation for the installation <br />of a 4000 lumen light at the northeast corner of Dubail and Carlisle <br />Street, and at the northwest corner of Dundee and.Jefferson, was approved <br />by the Board. <br />The Police Departments monthly report for April 1954 was examined <br />and ordered filed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 11 :30 A.
