Jean Eisele for the Police Auxiliary School <br />Patrol was examined and ordered placed on file. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 11 :30 A. M. <br />Chairman <br />Attest: <br />Clerk <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />December 22, 1953 <br />A special meeting of the Board of`Public Safety was called for <br />1 :5 P. !,Fl. this date, for the purpose`of considering and acting upon <br />recommendations of Chief of Police, Richard J. Gillen, and Mayor John <br />A. Scott, for the promotion of Police Department personnel. Board <br />member I. A. Hurwich was absent. <br />The recommended promotions were as follows: <br />Richard A. Stickley to be promoted from the rank of Patrolman <br />to the rank of Lieutenant and to be assigned as Station Commander in <br />charge of the First Detail, Patrol Division. <br />Richard E. Bauer, Sr. to be promoted irom the rank of Patrolman <br />to the rank of Sergeant,to be assigned as Patrol Sergeant on the First <br />Detail, Patrol Division. <br />Edward M. Hanyzewski to be promoted from the rank of Patrolman <br />to the rank of Sergeant-and to continue his assignment in the Traffic <br />Division in charge of Auxiliary School Policewomen, School Safety Patro,, <br />and public relations in traffic. <br />17illiam D. Bush to be promoted from the rank of Patrolman to <br />the rank of Detective Sergeant and to be assigned to the Special Inves- <br />tigations Division under the command of Captain Edward G. Radecki. <br />Chris Koehler to be promoted from the rank of Patrolman to <br />the rank of Detective. Sergeant and to be assigned to the Juvenile Aid and <br />"rime Prevention Division under the command of Captain Elmer Sokol. <br />Edward Jr. Nawrocki to be promoted from the rank of Patrolman <br />to the rank of Detective Sergeant and assigned to night duty in the <br />Detective Division. <br />The Board approved the promotions, exactly as recommended, to <br />cecome effective January 1, 1954. <br />There being no other business coming before this meeting, the <br />neeting was adjourned at 2 :10 P.IV�. <br />L_S2r <br />ai man <br />lttest: <br />Clerk <br />
