Arnot and David A. <br />Olmstead were examined and ordered placed on file. <br />FIRE DEPARTI ENT: <br />The Fire Department application of Robert E. Cornelis was examined <br />and ordered placed on file. <br />Fire Chief, Richard J. Duck, being present, brought to the attention <br />of the Board, his departmentts need for certain tools, consisting of <br />one 2411 Delta jig saw with.$ 1 -1/3 H.P. m6tor', one drum and surface <br />sander with 1/3 H.P. motor complete with belt and pulley, one Delta <br />shaper complete with belt and pulley, one Craftsman mitre box and saw <br />complete, together with an assortment of cutters, blades, router tools <br />and additional pulleys, the entire lot of which are available at a total <br />cost of $300.00. The Chief presented appraisals by three qualified <br />appraisers valuing this equipment in excess of $350.00. <br />In view of the need for the equipment and the opportunity presented <br />to secure it at a definite saving in price, the Board approved the pur- <br />chase and directed the Clerk to issue formal purchase order to cover. <br />
