Airport Economic Development Area

(1)Proposal for professional services

agreement for engineering services related
to 236 E. Sample Street. (Ivy Tech)

Mr. Relos noted that this is a proposal to
demolish the block building next to the Ivy
Tech on Sample Street (ITOSS) building.
That step was approved in the December
2009 agreement to put the façade on the
ITOSS building. Once Ivy Tech moved its
apprenticeship programs out of the building,
we were to demolish it. Christopher Burke
Engineering has submitted a proposal to do
the asbestos study of the building, write the
demolition specifications, take quotes, and
make an award for a fee of $6,250. Staff
recommends approval.
11
