Ludwig, 615 East Indiana Avenue, South Bend, Indiana
46613, has submitted a request to vacate the above referred to alley for the purpose of traffic and
security. Mr. Gilot advised the Beard is in receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this
Vacation Petition from the Area Plan Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, Solid
Waste, Community & Economic Development and Engineering. Area Plan stated the vacation
would not hinder the growth or orderly development of the unit or neighborhood in which it is
located or to which it is contiguous. The vacation would make access to the lands of the
aggrieved person by means of public way Jiff cult or inconvenient. The alley to be vacated does
not provide any immediate access to any adjacent structures. However, said alley does provide
access to a parking area located within the lot to the west of the alley. Therefore, it is
recommended that a crass access easement be dedicated after the alley is vacated so that access
to this parking area can be maintained. The vacation would not hinder the public's access to a
church, school or other public building or place. The vacation would not hinder the use of a
public right-of--way by the neighborhood in which it is located or to which it is contiguous.
