BIfI No. <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA FIXING MAXIMUM WAGES OF TEAMSTER EMPLOYEES FOR <br />CALENDAR YEAR 207 7 <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />At this time, the City of South Bend is engaged in collective bargaining negotiations with <br />Teamster Local No. 364, and these negotiations affect wages of those City employees represented <br />by the Teamster Union. The last collective bargaining agreement between South Bend and the <br />Teamster Union was effective for calendar years 2007-2010 inclusive, and was the subject of <br />Common Council Ordinances Nos. 9822-08, and 9958-09. Because negotiations between South <br />Bend and Teamster Local No. 364 are not yet concluded, this Ordinance establishes wages for City <br />employees represented by Teamster Local No. 364 at the same rates as in 2010, and maintains the <br />same benefits. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIi_ OF THE <br />CITY OF St7UTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows; <br />Section I. Maximum Compensation <br />I:a) The maximum amounts to be paid as compensation for Teamster employees <br />for the City of South Bend, Indiana are hereby established asset forth in the <br />attachment, which is incorporated herein by reference. -The amounts set <br />forth are consistent widh the recommended procedure of the S#ate Board of <br />Accounts dated March, 1993. Accordingly, wages are set and paid on a Bi- <br />weekly basis. Amounts by department and alphabetical position, are set <br />forth as welt as the hourly wage for each position. <br />Section II. Holidays, Vacations and Other Monetary and Fringe Benefits Incorporated <br />by Reference. <br />(a} Holidays. Holidays designated by the Coiiective Bargaining Agreement <br />shall govern Teamster employees for the calendar year 2008 - 2fl10. <br />{b) Vacations. Vacation for Teamster empioyees shall be as set forth in the <br />Coiiective Bargaining Agreemen#, incorporated herein by reference. <br />{c) Insurance. <br />(i } Com rehensive Ma'or Medical Insurance Pro ram/Preferred <br />Provider Organization (PPO). The City shall maintain a <br />comprehensive major medical insurance program that ail <br />Teamster employees may participate in. <br />
