,~ <br />~ ~ .~.r <br />yy < • ~,~ <br />1~ ~~~ r <br />``~ ~~- x ZONING & ANNEXATION COMMITTEE <br />July 26, 2010 <br />The July 26, 2010 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee of the South Bend Common <br />Council was called to order by its Chairperson Council Member AI "Buddy" Kirsits at 4:10 p.m., in <br />the Informal Meeting Room, 4~h Floor County-City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, <br />Indiana <br />Committee Members Present: Tom LaFountain, Oliver Davis, David Varner <br />Other Council Present: Derek Dieter, Ann Puzzello, Karen White, Tim Rouse <br />Others Present: Paul Phair, Gary Gilot, Rita Kopala, Mark Lyons, <br />Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, David Relos <br />Agenda: Bill No. 10-34 Special Exception 6850 Enterprise Drive <br />Chairperson Kirsits opened the hearing on Bill No. 10-34 with full committee present. <br />Chairperson Kirsits explained the bill before Council comes for consideration with favorable <br />recommendations from both the Area Plan Commission and the Redevelopment Commission. <br />Mark Lyons of the Building Department added a favorable nod from the Board of Zoning Appeals. <br />For a formal presentation, Kirsits recognized Paul Phair of the Holladay Corp. developers of the <br />project. He explained the purpose for the special exception was to reduce the number of parking <br />spaces to from 640 to 40 required for a gymnastics studio in Holladay's Ameriplex project. <br />Subsequent to Phair's presentation Councilmember Oliver Davis motioned it be sent to full <br />Council favorably. David Varner seconded and was supported by all. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee at this time.
