Magliozzi <br />Executive Director Assistant Director <br />Phone 574 235 -9571 www. stjosephcountyindiana .com /areaplan Fax 574 235 -9813 <br />July 21, 2010 <br />The Honorable Council of the City of <br />South Bend <br />4th Floor, County -City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />I V� 0-0 - rL_� - �-�) <br />RE: A proposed ordinance of Lincolnwood Retail LLC to zone from GB General Business <br />District to CB Community Business District, vacant property adjacent to and east of I847 <br />Lincolnway East, City of South Bend. - APC# 2556 - 10 <br />Dear Council Members: <br />I hereby Certify that the above referenced ordinance of Lincolnwood Retail LLC was legally <br />advertised on Thursday, July 8, 2010 and that the Area Plan Commission at its public hearing on <br />Tuesday, July 20, 2010 took the following action: <br />Upon a motion by Barrett Berry, being seconded by Robert Hawley and unanimously <br />carried, the proposed ordinance of Lincolnwood Retail LLC to zone from GB <br />General Business District to CB Community Business District, vacant property <br />adjacent to and east of 1847 Lincolnway East, City of South Bend is sent to the <br />Common Council with a favorable recommendation. This rezoning will allow for a <br />vacant and underutilized property to be used for a high intensity automobile oriented <br />commercial use. Prior high intensity commercial uses, including an automobile <br />dealership, have been located at this site since the 1960x. Adjacent uses including fast <br />food restaurants and a drugstore complement the proposed use. <br />The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving at the above <br />decision are shown in the Minutes of the public hearing, and will be forwarded to you at a later <br />date to be made a part of this report. <br />Sincerely, <br />W 6 2. <br />in�Y <br />W.
