ORDINANCE NO. ~ (°~ ~ `~S" AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING $7,000.00 FROM HAZ-MAT FUND (N0.289) TO PURCHASE NEW EQUIPMENT STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT The City of South Bend through its Fire Department operates a hazardous Material Response Team for the purpose of providing the citizens of South Bend with protection from dangers arising from chemical spills and other accidents involving hazardous materials. The revenues generated by the team (when responding outside City limits) are useful in defraying the costs of operating the team. To operate at full efficiency and best protect the public, the Hazardous Materials Response Team needs to purchase new equipment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows: Section I. The sum of $7,000.00 is hereby appropriated and ordered set apart from and within the Haz-Mat Fund No. 289 for the purchase of new equipment, Account No. Description Amount 289 0901 422 43-OS Equipment $7,000.00 Section II.
