In addition, several <br />companies are Clients of Innovation Park, <br />receiving services but not occupying space. <br /> <br />Given the progress made since IEDC <br />approved the Technology Park in 2008, it is <br />appropriate to again seek the Operating Grant <br />funds. The new Application is attached, and <br />shows a request for $1,744,200 in Operating <br />Grant funds. Staff recommends approval of <br />the application. <br /> <br />Ms. King asked about the tenant, Esteem, <br />whether it is a technology company. Mr. <br />Brenner responded that Esteem is a program <br />spun out of the University of Notre Dame. It <br />is a new masters program for graduate <br />students in science and engineering. The <br />students are working on twenty-seven <br />different pieces of patented technology. <br />Beginning next week, they have to defend <br />their thesis, including a business plan, for all <br />twenty-seven of those. Innovation Park is <br />hopeful that a few of those will stay and <br />move on through the program. <br /> <br />Ms. King also asked about the nature of Fish <br />Taco Ventures.
